Looking for linkages to all 3rd party stats pages for all projects for Team Free-DC members.
I know there are alot of them out there.
Please use the following format
Project Name
URL1 - main page
URL2 - main page
I'll start with a few for example. (use the http : // button to paste the link as text to)
As new links are posted, I'll keep updating this message until we get them all listed.
No comments just linkages please.
I'll delete all messages as I get the linkages updated, making this one the only one remaining. k?

Sweet!
Very nice, Bok! If you'd like, I can get you the new graphics design and color palette (for the upcoming site redesign) to tinker with...

OK, you guys should have a semi-intelligible email about 'unified stats'.

Could whoever's handling the stats on stats.dbestern.net take a look at the LifeMapper stats? The numbers are out of date and the United Kingdom team has been commingled with our team.
Come to think of it, the DPAD stats are also broken. Just about everybody south of Magicfan is showing strange numbers.
I am back at re-doing the http://stats.free-dc.org or http://stats.dbestern.net , stats server, which ever you are most familiar with, they are one in the same.
I'm working on the re-skinning to match the new Free-DC style.
While I'm at it, I might as well add in the new links to other 3rd party Free-DC Team stats...
And I'm all ears on suggestions. I'm trying to remove the 'boxiness' ...
I can remove the 'news' page and put something else up there if you like.
As to the accuracy, functionality, or lack there of of the daily/weekly history stats, see DP or Magnav0x
OK, I've sent a copy of that first email to both you & DP. I'm also going to setup a forum area where those involved can discuss this whole thing.

Some observations on stats.dbestern.net. I think getting some of the rough edges smoothed out would make us look a little more coordinated. Some of this is just being picky, but sometimes there has to be somebody who stands and points things out in the certain knowledge that somebody else has to do the actual work...
In the right column:
1) We lost first place in ChessBrain long ago. Why do we still claim first?
2) There isn't a Prime95 project. It's GIMPS.
3) We're doing better than 0th place in GIMPS.
4) UD Think is now known as "Grid.org" and we should change our references accordingly. I realize this isn't a popular project among our members, but it's been something like a year since UD changed its identity.
5) "DPAD Muon1" should be just plain "DPAD". "Muon1" is the name of the executable, not the project.
6) I believe that D2OL is now running under the aegis of The Rothberg Institute, not Sengent.
In the left column:
7) The LifeMapper history stats are still badly broken. We haven't merged with the UK team.
8) The ChessBrain history stats are still showing Phase 2, even though they claim to have been updated today.
9) The history stats pages have no links back to the main stats page. They also have the ancient logo graphic. It's so, well, last month.
In the middle:
My 0.0000000002 cents says that I don't get much from the "news" column that takes half the page. The news isn't particularly informative or timely, and it seems more appropriate for the forums, perhaps in the mysterious Double Top Secret Stats Cabal section.
If I were designing this page, I'd lose the "news" (or move it to the bottom) and increase the font size in the "History" and "3rd Party" columns to match the "Ranks". I also like the contrast on the Ranks panel, though I'm not clear on what the pattern is supposed to be on the background colors. I'd expect to see light and dark alternating rows, but there are two lights in a row.
To add to ECL's list:
The eOn stats haven't updated with the correct data for a while. I tested this by increasing my work done to 7, and noticed that it still shows as 3 on the stats here.

A note to the-mk:
I love the look of your revamped d.net stats!
Thanks! I just wanted a new look and I decided to the Free-DC look'n'feel. Just look at the frontpage (I hope Dyy doesn't hate me because I've stolen the CSS of free-dc.org)Originally posted by alpha

And a note the the stats.free-dc.org admin/webmaster:
please remove the link to the Project Orca stats site (http://the-mk.dbestern.net/orca/). Those stats don't work because the mainsite is down every now and then and I don't want to support them anymore! Thanks!

Rank Panel, '3rd column' is a hard beast to work, but I'll get er done this week-end.
I removed the 'news sections'
I removed Orca from the 3rd Party Stats column
I increased the fonts on the 'History Stats' column
I increased the fonts on the 3rd Party stats column.
Stats accuracy, et al, belongs to DP and Magnavox.
Keep the comments comming
Let me toss something in here-
What about integrating the SuperComputer info into this page? Maybe put the third-party stats below the History stats; then put the first 5 columns of the SuperComputer data in the center where the news was, and the Project CPU allocation totals below the project Team Rankings. That way we have ranking and resource allocation all in one place, plus it might help people (like me) to remember to update their SuperComputer data regularly.
Good idea!
I know DP and I spoke about doing this way back when, then there was talk about moving the supercomputer DB over to Dyy's Stats Server so he could make neat things happen with it...
Let's see what happens with the location of the DB, then take it from there. Right now alot of ideas are floating about... I am looking forward to one of the best STATS and Information Servers on the planet, what ever Server it ends up on
2, 4, 5, 6 have been changed, thanks! 1 and 3 I'll take a look at over the week-end.Originally posted by ECL

9 - I'll get to this week-end, thanks for the reminder. It's part of the overall theme changes that have to be made to each and every script to generate the correct one.
Ok, I've asked DP to send me the code to generate the output in a static file that I can insert instead of the news. We will only use a few of the fields from the SuperComputer to fill in where the news section was. I'm going with rshepard's idea as that's very close to part of what I was planning to do along time ago.In the middle:

Hows that so far?
Looking good!
Glad to see you back IB!
Thanks Moogie! I still have to be careful and not let this consume me or let me stay up late... I hope I can do this in moderation, because if I can't, I will turn everything off and get rid of all but two computers...
I'll just pick at it, even tho it all needs major re-writing...
I figure folks can live with the graphics and colors, but STATS do need to be fixed
OK, added in a partial STATIC (for testing purposes) Free-DC Super Computer section where the NEWS used to be.
stats.Free-DC.org
It looks fine to me!!
I like my name in lights
Seriously, it's great. Maybe a link right under the table to the site to edit your machine population.
Having it right out there in public should help people remember to update it.

<edit> DOH! I didn't see the button in the top right.
All right - you're looking for us to pick nits, right?
The buttons that change color to orange on mouseover seem to be slightly larger than the dark background version. It makes the screen jump when you move the mouse over them. Maybe it's the font size - seems to be larger.
Thanks for the efforts! Nice to see you back here more often.

I noticed the same behavior and will try to find another way to replicate it or, like you said, check fonts, weights and all that... but when I'm finished figuring it out, it should always be on every stats page
I should have live updated Super Computer information soon, read from a file so as to not run the database nuts everytime someone hits the frontpage.
Will probably run the Super Computer STATIC page hourly to start, then back it down to maybe twice a day or something, whatever most of you want
It will be nice to finally not have to use/combine two .css files I have to reference until I can finish the 'theme'. I'd like to simplify the .css as well, it's well past the bloated stage...
Anyways, I'll keep pecking at it until it's finished, if there is such a thing
I really hope that it compliments and enhances the Free-DC.org site and gives folks quick links to other stats and projects.
I need to work on MD5CRK and NFSNET and get them into the Rank Panel as well... and any other 3rd party stats that we can find (and hopefully keep updated) ...
Fix the blasted Chessbrain Rank problem
IB, I was wondering, why don't you link the "Stats" button on the frontpage of the website to the stats.free-dc.org site?Originally posted by IronBits
NSFNET and MD5CRK have been added to the Rank Panel.
The pesky Chessbrain has been fixed
Just a thought.
Ok, how's it looking? Better I hope.
Anyone see any links missing or broken in the '3rd Party Stats' column?
http://stats.free-dc.org/
Thanks
I've been pretty busy lately, with both work stuff and the beginning of the racing season. I am, however, just about caught up so you can expect some changes to the homepage in the coming weeks. Integration with IB's stuff is on the list of things to be added.
