    From the news page:

    11/03/2003

    - The fixed screensaver and client versions have been posted on the Downloads page.

    11/01/2003

    - We have identified a bug in the screensaver version released on Tuesday, which causes the program to appear to stop working after completing a generation. No harm is done, but the user must exit and restart the screensaver to continue working. We will post a corrected package on the Download page on Monday morning, and apologize for any inconvenience. In the mean time you should be able to avoid this problem by setting it to 'not connect to the internet' in the screensaver settings, until you get the new version.
Not sure why the command line version was updated also. Maybe the ascii display stop updating after one generation. Not anything I would have noticed.

It sounds like the command line version would not upload correctly if the -qt switch was not on.

That was only reported for the Linux version.

There apparently are some changes, as noted in this thread.

Just copy the files from the new version into the folder. The new version doesn't have any data files, so they will not be overwritten, just the rest of the stuff. I think that the executable is the only thing that has changed, but all of the files have the same date so I don't really know.

I just looked at the new linux download and what I have running that autoupdated, it looks like the executable was the only thing that changed.
