problem with usernames in textStats and site registration
jjjjl or Louis, i hope you can help me with this one..
Normally the client does not allow spaces in the username, if you use a linux client there is a warning message above the username input. But if i register on the site (http://www.seventeenorbust.com/signup/) i can use spaces. If i edit my registry/sclient.conf it seems that also usernames with spaces are working so actually there is not a big problem on your site.. But;
I use the textStats to build statistics for the team DPC, normally u use the space as a seperator to obtain the fields that i need wich works fine.. unless there are spaces in the username.
Is is possible that you convert the spaces in usernames (teamnames ?) to underscores (_) ?
Tnx,
Duke ( sob@dutchpowercows.org ) http://sob.qik.nl

I'll second that one. I had an unpleasant time figuring why the top teams disapeared from my stats.

Thanks for bumping this post Duke. I never saw it before because I wasn't reading the forums in December.
I'll look into what I can do about this.
Cheers,
Louie
