    Stats a little Wonky?

    Hi Miguel,

Is there a problem with the stats? None of my boxen are showing any accumulation of effort units and when I look at Team Free-DC's stats, the values are 2X the actual.

Another participant has negative values accumulating as well.

    Thanks,

    prok

Actually, my "prokaryote" island is, but my Tick theme'd islands are active (tick, arthur, pineapple-pokopo, etc.).

as far as i know, stats can only go down when you have two islands with the same name. So make sure your process isn't running two copies!!

    Hi Miguel,

Only running one process per processor per name. Daily stats seem okay, but totals aren't accumulating. Is there a sig digit issue maybe? Below are the last 8 daily differences and the last number is the total Effort units for 12 of my 13 islands (Octo-Paginini has the same issue)

    Hello:

I have noticed the same thing. There seems to be a cycle of positive gain on the daily figures followed by a day or 2 of negative gain even though there was no interruption in crunching.

The stats are very shaky, the move all over the place. It now seems that my best individual was killed or so. It's completely gone at least.
Speed calculationsare wrong as well, I've just done 421094375 effort units in 57 days which seems to be 2116052 effort units a day. My calculator says it should be 7387620 units/day. I did the same math for some other machines and most of them too seem to be way off!
    Don't Panic!

I would still like to know the answer to the declining stats. Why does my overall work effort go down even though I'm still crunching?

A short list of previous day's total work effort:

    66082185
    66080985 -1200
    66080025 -960
    66079665 -360
    66079845 +180
    66080115 +270
    66080085 -30
    66079935 -150
    66080175 +240
    66079365 -840

    Any thoughts? Anyone?

my thoughts are based on the fact that the stats aren't tabulated by simply dividing your work by time. It takes into account other things to make the stats fair ...I think based on total time you've spent on the project in "active days" or so. Only one person can say for sure.

I do think there have been some stat reporting problems lately though...

Bug fixed in SQL statement logging database which didn't allow effort to grow.
