I haven't lost my mind; it's backed up on tape drive somewhere.

Do we know the size of the protein

I could do with another slowish one so I don't get roadkilled whilst I am still out of action.

Don't want A99 crowing over my twitching corpse.
Alas poor Borg, I knew it Horatio

And I could use a fast one whilst Fozzie is out of action.

    From the DF site:
    12/15/2003
    Upcoming update
There is a client/screensaver update scheduled for Thursday, December 18, 2003, at 10:00 am EST. Now that the algorithm changes have been tested, we would like to release the update with sufficient time to ensure a smooth transition before the holidays, despite the fact that we have not yet reached the posted 5 billion target.

I'm a bit suprised they'd cut the protien short, especaily now that we only have about 2 weeks left before it will be completed.

The protein will stay the same in order for us to evaluate the algorithm changes. The 24/48 hour rule still applies for old results, as usual.
Looks like they are going to auto-update to the new client version (100 structures per generation and a new algorithm), but keep crunching this same slooooowwww protein.

No worries here, I'm already running the test version #1 with 100 structures/gen.

I was just hoping for a faster protein so we can further bury ars while they are all away chasing LGM.
