Cheap Hosting

Hey guys, due to some problems with server loads with the guy I'm sharing a server with right now I'm opting to get a dedicated server of my own within a week or two. To help cover some costs I'm only going to take on 5-10 people on this server (not looking to load the server down one bit at all). I'm going to offer some cheap hosting that may bring in some lost costs for this new server. So heres the deal:

120GB EIDE 7200RPM
Redhat Linux 9.0
Connectivity: 100Mbps (AboveNet)

PHP/Perl will be available. I don't know exactly what other bells and whistles I'll stick on it as it's still in the planning. I may allow shell access as well with a justafyable reason. Of course, no warez/porn/hacking or other related or illegal content would be allowed. This is to test the waters and see if any would be interested in such a plan.

one other web site a couple years ago.

Yeah I can help you getting started if you have problems. What I'll probably do is have some sort of "discount code" for those from the Free-DC community. That way you can just enter it in and get the discounted rate without any sort of hassle. Just keep in mind that you will need to purchase a domain as well, which I can get for $9.95/yr (that's at cost for me as a reseller). If you look around though you can find other places that can do it for like $7.99 I think. I don't have $6000+ to put down for bulk domain registration credits to get the $6.99 domain reselling accounts.

MrTRS, your slot is still reserved. I'll hold it until you are ready. I don't see any problem with registering through Register.com. I'm not familiar with their prices, but they are a rather large registrar. Minus your reserved slot, I have 3 available on this server and any others interested could sign up with my other hosting plans on the site, but they will be put on normal servers (same specs, just more accounts).
