No opterons .... yet... This is what I think I fired up:

    Machine Count: 32
    Total MHz: 189748
    Total Processes: 128

Each system is more or less: (Hyper-threaded of course)
    MEM:2064664
Linux - Running Kernel Version 2.4.18-24.7.xbigmem
    4x Intel(R) Xeon(TM) CPU 3.06GHz @ 3056mhz (512 KB cache)
    6:17pm up 1 day, 4:17, 1 user, load average: 3.98, 3.93, 3.85

Probably cant run for very long though since I need then for my real work.. Just
thought it would be fun for a few days... I have about 128 systems available, but
we need to bring in extra fans if I fire many more up Opterons are on the way too!!

.. I think if you aren't producing for a protein you should not be listed.. just another
    of my whiney thoughts..

    bad da boom.!

Wink Err no Hans they didn't

I beleive they were catching you anyway.

I think they need the 300 odd members to go for OCWorkbench.

I beleive the month long stampede doesn't even start until the 14th, probably a lot of the Cow Dudes are crunching offline for their well known simultaneous dumps.

We shall see how things go depending on the next protein, a fast one could see them really move.

Bring it on Cow Dudes. You're still slacking 12 mill down on the day to Free DC.

Already got the pots of boiling oil atop the walls, got an earthmoving contractor coming over to construct a moat as well...Steve Irwin in delivering a few friends to occupy the moat

Been to the coast lately, better check the main Sea Wall for leaks..any rumour of a strange person with a big drill is unfounded...at least you folk know how to stick fingers in holes

    Cows move into 4th

Grumpy, you might need to get 6 more drills for the rest of the dwarves.

Doc is busy running the DF Project.
Sleepy is, well, doing quality assurance work for Beds R Us.
Bashful is still trying that new wonder drug to help his agoraphobia.
Happy, is caught up scouring the Web for interesting News Items to post at OCW.
Dopey is still trying to install a Farm in the corner of his study of our round house.
And Sneezy is in hospital after tring to clean the dust from inside a few Boxen.

So, just old grizzle guts, his drill bit, and a whole lot of hate to get the job done.

Thanks Grumpy. We're just enjoying ourselves for the time being.
Hopefully some of the new members will stick around after the stampede so we can offer OCworkbench, Overclockers Australia and ProCooling a bit of a fight

I think they will need to hire a research assistant to go through all the extra data.

    for sure !

a really slow one would be great

we'll hit 10B at the end of this week, too late for a protein change until the following week, so Feb 10 is likely for the switch

Well happy birthday in advance. Is your new wheelchair going to have all-wheel drive and a suped-up engine in it? With the weather around here, I think you would need AWD.

  38. #38
    But...

    Can the wheelchair crunch proteins?

Yeah, it will have AI to navigate the rough ground, a Prescott will run it and I can use the air intake on the front grill of the electric motor to cool the cpu, bout the only thing that will I am not sure to ask Howard for a fast or slow Protein for my Birthday, the way I am slipping in the Top 50, a real slow one seems the go

P.S. I am not ready for a ehrrlvhair yet, it just seems that way every time I fall over and the ground breaks my fall
