    proth_sieve accelerates (a bit) PRP?

I have a Celeron Tualatin with Windows 2000 and some time ago I have discovered this "trick":
    1. The computer boots.
    2. I start SB. It gets X cEM/s. I close it.
    3. I start proth_sieve and let it run some seconds before closing it.
    4. I start again SB, but this time it gets ~X+10000 cEM/s!

The "little boost" disappears after a computer reboot. Is anyone else able to reproduce this?

Does this happen as well when you omit step 3?
