    I hate power outages!!!!

    Arrgh I really hate 'em!
Just lost the client on one of two machines running right now...
Havn't had any power outages for ages before lst year...
But last year we had 3 and this year seems to have a very good start.

At least I didn' loose any work in terms of buffered generations....but I hate running through gen 0.....
At least the other faster macine is crunching along fine...

Come here to vent any time Thor. Many of us have been through the same thing. It sounds like you have had a run with it lately. Let's face it, power outages suck!

No sweat on the venting. Like Moogie said, many of us have been through it as well, and we feel the same way when it happens.

However, did you have to delete filelist.txt? I'm guessing that explains the gen. 0 comment. So I ask, are you using dfGUI? If so, the recover function is a life saver (hole in the middle and everything ), and allows you to pick up right where you left off before the crash. It has saved my bacon a couple of times, that's for sure.

I'm using dfGUI, but the error log said that the filelist has been tempered with and starting the gui made the system load going up to 100%.
A reinstall of the gui didn't help, so I figured it would save more cpu time to just accept the loss and go on folding. So I reinstalled the client...
Luckiliy it didn't happen on the other box...
    need more and faster boxen....
