New beta version available

A modified version of the beta client is now available for download at the same location as before:
Windows (text only)

The textual output when uploading was slightly modified - this should fix the problem where the screen gets filled up with upload messages and does not refresh properly.

I am hopeful that this new version fixes the random characters that have been appearing in filelist.txt. However, if the problem recurs, please make sure to post DETAILED bug reports in the special thread created in the bug tracking forum.

Also, for those of you who are experiencing considerable slowdown with the uploads, please post details to the new bugs thread. I have noticed a marginal time increase while testing on my systems (both Windows and Linux); however, nothing that would significantly increase the overall upload time.

Keep up the thorough reports - the more details we get now, the less worries you'll have when this goes live
