    Hydra East pushing for top50!

If you are ranked above us and are in our way to the top50, MOVE!

Time for some major smack-fu on all of you!

Uploading about 350 generations in the next hour or two. That should remove of ZaphodB. The rest of you have less than 10 days. Make your time....

    Location location location!

We've got a nice 5 million point gap between #48 New Comer and #47 Beyond, does that work for you?

You might want to check with your brother over at Central who you'll have to first!

I ain't seen central in a while. I think he/she's elsewhere at the moment. I also think West is elsewhere.

I'm uploading now (I just got on the right computer, I thought it was a different computer that was buffering)

I only thought it was 350 generations. It was really 809 generations.

Going throught slowly now, ~5 gens a minute I should have done it a 5:30 this morning, when I woke up. Or I should have waited and done it at 5:30 tomorrow morning, when I wake up.

    /me smacks head

EDIT: At 5:30 in the morning a week ago, I uploaded 350 generations in 15 minutes. It looks like it will take until 5:30 in the morning to upload all these generations....

Hmm...2 days later and ZaphodB still your superior!

He appears to have started because the latest 24 hour stats shows twice your production:

    ZaphopB - 363,476
    FreeDC Hydra East - 144,280

Better notch up the clock rate a bit and turn on the big blowers!

Well, I passed Hydra east on my cross country drive. In a day or so I should be passing Hydra central on my way back home to the good old west.

Central is over at D2OL helping out. I don't have multiple people to help the Central cause on DF I alone don't stand a chance

Well, I think I have the whole prioity thing set up right on my linux machine.

I have D.net running behind DF to suck up all of the cycles during the often problematic uploads.

D.net is set at level 19 (which is the lowest if I understand correctly
DF is set at 14 (which made it suck up about 75% of the CPU cycles, with D.net taking the other 25%)

So I should be able to challenge guru on two fronts

I'll be switching my name over shortly on D.net, whenever the stats are back up.

Hydras can push everyone else thin! Attack on all fronts and they can't hope to defend against it!

    IB, you're next!

Pretty thin here already. Had to take 2 boxen off due to constant freezing (working OK on D2OL - need them now that PCZ is waking up there).
Someone keeps turning off some of the others in here
Maybe once they're done remodeling my office I can get my other boxen doing something

Moogie can never take my smilie! I'll fight her for it!

Actually I stole it off a website with mostly kitty-ized smilies, they had this one and a guillotine smilie as well.

The school machine is blazing through the gen 0, I have it running off pen drive right now, should be done the gen 0 in under an hour total (study hall, plus after-school work). I might have a few huge periods tomorrow (actually only in the after-school, no study halls tomorrow).

I'm too ****ing pissed at DF right now to continue running them for a good long while. I have lost over 350 generations between several machines. While that may not be much for some of you, it is more than a whole ****ing day's production for me. They have fooled me quite a few times, but I guess I should listen to my parents, never do anything that has fooled you before.

You'll see me on RC5, or MD5, but no more DF.

magicfan241, I feel your pain! I quit the project when it first started because of the same issues they are having today. I put a lot of effort into helping the project, but I didn't feel that enough was being done on their end to resolve the issues. This was back when they first introduced the auto update feature.

However after doing RC5 for two years I decided that while it was a much easier client to run, it just wasn't doing anything worth while. So I decided to go back to DF and I am putting 100% effort into helping improve the project. It's easy to give up, but if you really do want to make a difference then you will have to work for it.

Life is full of obstacles, you just have to decide to conquer them or to run away from them.

guru: there are a lot of projects out there that have just as good science, much better everything else (with no more Dyy's stats).

I'm moving some stuff back to DPAD in the near future, and off of DF.
