Question Disparity in stats information being supplied

I've been noticing that the stats in the text files supplied (either in the tarball or via the View as text option) don't match the stats supplied on the web page - for example, my team (Sneakers) has a total of '1,397,507,605' structures according to the team page (http://anteater.blueprint.org/teampages/team1826.html) but when the total points are added up in the text file in comes to '1,397,527,874' - which is different to the total team structures being supplied.

It's a bit confusing (especially when you get to the larger teams) as there is more points being listed than shown - why is the total structures score different?

I have resorted to taking the sum of the total team points rather than just relying on the overall structures score - but would be nice to know that there isn't a disparity (or why there is).

    Cheers

    Another issue with the tarball:

User ID 30265 moved from Team 81 (Dutch Power Cows) to 2920 (Team Newton) and then back again to Team 81 in the space of 2 updates (one to move from DPC and one to move back)...but the tarball is providing this user in both teams (81 and 2920). Team 2920 doesn't show up on the team stats list (http://anteater.blueprint.org/cgi-bi...?teamindex=1#T) so I'm not sure why the tarball contains this team (even the file timestamp is older than the rest of the files being provided).

User 30265 is the only occurrence I can see of this happening so looks like a minor glitch...

Some stale files that need to be erased, thats all. This will be fixed shortly, thanks for pointing it out.

What about the first issue - about the total strucs not adding up to the sum of the total strucs?

Not really an issue now I've worked around it but it'd be nice to know everything adds up

Try it again in a couple weeks after we remove the stale files, everything should add up properly.

Just to let you know still getting the occasional disparity show up - the latest (before the connection went down) was user ID 29421 (Zhadum) who shows up in both Team Zhadum (2971) and Dutch Power Cows (81) for at least 2 updates...

oh, and things are still not adding up - but the disparity is lower (I assume due to the slower protein):

first column is the individual total points for my team and the sum, the second is the total team points being provided - a difference of 8,327...

a little bumpage to note that the 'same ID, 2 teams' issue has occurred again - doesn't seem to be happening as often as it did but it does still appear to occur...

also, there still is the disparity between the sum of the points on the team and the give team total (i.e., my team's total as of the Fri Aug 13 16:01:41 2004 EST update is 2,430,733,667 but the sum of the total points is 2,430,748,601
    - a difference of 14,934)...any ideas on why this is or is this a low priority issue? From my position I use the sum rather than any given totals but it would cut some processing out if I could rely on the given totals with 100% confidence...
