    Exclamation Server Down?

    Is the server down?

I can ping it, but when foldtrajlite tries to upload, it IMMEDIATLY returns a "NO RESPONSE FROM SERVER - WILL TRY AGAIN LATER" - it doesn't even wait.

Oh, right - I just tried to refresh the stats window on blueprint.org, and it shows:

    "Error
    Unable to Initialize Databases.

If the problem appears to be server related, contact the administrator for this site [e-mail omitted]"

Funny, just worked about 20 minutes ago . . .

But then again should we be shocked?
The data base must be able to detect our confidence in the up coming change over.

May be an idea to wait until friday

And it couldn't have happened on a worse time.
Everybody is trying to upload their offline boxes due to the changeover this week. And when it comes online again there will be some massive dumping.

Looks like all those structures have just gone and totally filled up tha data table! No biggy, we'll just make it a wee bit bigger so it'll last through tomorrow. We'll have to turn off access to the web site for a few minutes (up to an hour) while we increase the table size and then everything should be happy again.

Thanks for letting us know quickly

Seems to be back up but upload times are back to how they were at the start of this protein

There's gonna be a lot of backlog queuing to report. Will it all be uploaded by tomorrow's update? Hmmmm.

Yep - it's back and as slow as before...I wonder if it wouldn't have been easier just to release the update now and extend the grace period...

/edit - seems slower uploading and any thing to do with the Bleuprint site times out...

There's about 10 hours of work queued up while it was down so it'll take a few hours but by tonight it should be back the way it was yesterday.

i cant see how it should all be caught up by tonight, even EST. I have cut back to one 1GHz PIII PC and it's producing faster than it can upload.

Can everyone else stop uploading at 22:30 BST so my PC can upload.

    Please!!!

Wed Apr 21 20:30:06 2004 ERROR: [000.000] {foldtrajlite2.c, line 4846} Warning during upload: STATUS 910 MISSING PREVIOUS OR ILLEGAL GENERATION .

all bar 1 of my 9 clients (~ 1600 gens) have nearly uploaded - the one that hasn't needed a -purgeuploadlist 1 due to a checksum error...

upload speeds seem to be returning to how they were before the table overflow but not to pre-Easter speeds...

One of 21 machines works fine....

    Rest: STATUS 910 !!!

    Purgeupload doesn't help.....

Lost a whole day of crunching!

(BTW I have a T3+ connection to the internet so there's no problem with it...)

You have to run purgeuploadlist until you purge generation 250.. then it'll upload the next set's gen 0 and continue uploading fine..
