What the pharm bought
just picked up a pair of these. carver amazing mk iv platinum. 60" ribbon w/4 x 12" woofers. always wanted a large ribbon. sound better than anything i ever heard before. using phase linear 700 to drive them, 350w a channel and they could use 3 times that.
am getting into diy audio. started many years ago but did not keep with it. starting to build a zen penultimate amp.
and with internet forums there is so much help!
