    J2se 5.0?

Anyone tried using J2SE 5.0? Any comments on how it works with this project?

    Hi Stephen_B,

I've got Java 1.5.0 (JRE and SDK) beta running on all of my machines and it seems to do fine. It seems to be as fast as 1.4.5, but may be even more stable (haven't had client lock-ups since I started the beta version, whereas I used to get about 1 per week with the 1.4.5. Could just be coincidence).

I've heard that IBM's Java2 platform is 30% faster than any available platform out there...

    maybe try that?

    Be worth an experiment.

I've seen IBM Java JRE being faster than Sun Java JRE, but what about when the "-server" switch is used with Sun Java (from the Sun JDK install)?

Does anyone have two identical machines to try this on?
