    Super Computer (Free-DC's)

If you follow the below link, you will see we show a lot of CPU power on a now retired project, Distributed Folding
    http://supercomputer.open-dc.org/ind...t&projectID=12

I'd like to see this page with more boxen to be a little closer to the 'truth'
    http://supercomputer.open-dc.org/ind...t&projectID=11

Ya think we could get our boxen updated?

    Thanks!

I'll go update my profile to better reflect my firepower.

Edit: OMG.. I didn't realised that I'd be No. 1 on the Team's Supercomputer list.

Please note that the burn-in boxes will be with me permanently but I will always have supplies of boxes to crunch, err... burn in with.

Also, is there a reason why we don't have any Pentium 4 HT boxes listed on the processor list?

I've got about 10 of em that is crunching D2OL that I've put as regular Pentiums. Does it make a difference?

We went through this with Angus awhile back...
Do we need to have a distinction?

    Physical socket/processor count only please.

Agreed, it's the same Ghz after all.

I'd like to see different linux distros in there myself

And separate the BSDs. Whilst Linux distributions are all the same OS, FreeBSD, NetBSD, OpenBSD etc. are not.

Updated. I'm an idiot. I can never remember to click on the name of the computer to edit it. It is slightly darker than the other fields, but not darker enough that I notice it.

Some of my computers run 2 projects (Chessbrain as a secondary). Being able to specify a secondary project might be useful.

I also have a part-time bunch of comps, but I'm not going to put them in. You have to twist my arm to get me to edit my entry every year or so as it is .

What's up at chessbrain? Do you see some results of your clients in the stats?

I gave it up long time ago because from time to time I missed some of my computers in the stats and the clients didn't get any work from the supernode

It was a great secondary project, but in the last few months I saw no sense contributing work anymore...

Another thing: did someone kick the database at supercomputer.free-dc.org? Because I'm missing myself in there! Or did I really delete all my computers myself? If yes, I can't remember when that was

And why is distributed.net OGR not listed on the list on the right and left hand side? It was listed longer time ago, wasn't it? Or am I totally now?

OGR is listed. Try using [STRG]+F when in doubt

I didn't find you pcs but I don't know what project you have assigned them. Try to login and you should be able to see them if they are still there ...

    Then me was totally

And I found OGR on the right hand side, without CTRL-F. And what the f##k is STRG-F?

But OGR is really missing on the left hand side!

BTW: added that one machine which is currently crunching OGR...

Maybe I shouldn't have too many of these leads into

I think I'm seeing results in the stats, but I frankly don't check them that often. Just let it run.

No one has heard from what's his name who runs it in months. It may be dead. But, the server is definitely accepting results.

I figure either the server will disappear someday, or someone will say something.

The number of computers I run DC changes constantly as they are imaged about every month. Therefore, I dont really know how many I have running at any particular time. Because of this, I only have my one constant computer listed on the website and that is the one I have at home. But you are right it is way more that 50 Ghz

    Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wish we could have come up with a way to make it much easier to manage so folks would be more willing to keep it updated more often.
I would have liked to see it designed so that once you logon, it would look like a spreadsheet to the user, with headers, and auto filled in with the data contained in the database for that one user, so all you had to do was update the rows and columns with data, all on one easy to manage page, click update, the the data would get pulled back into the database from each cell with data.
    Any takers?

    Here's an Idea
Have a chip speed list as well where you select the chip and it fills out the other values like (Ghz, clk and multiplier - if possible).
Also if it's a mutli-cored chip - have 1 box per "core" with the option to slave them all to one project or have them on individual projects
    say like
    AMD 64 X2
Core 0 - SoB (ticked checkbox)
Core 1 - SoB (greyed out - locked).

Bok I could not log into my account on the SC and could not get the password sent using any of my e-mails. So I tried to reregister my account and see if maybe it would deny it since it already existed. It let me register a new account with the same username again. Could you delete that first account I have (the one with about 7 machines listed on it). My boxen have all changed, so I don't need any of the info on it any how.
