    small factors

Whats with all of the small factors submitted by JoeO today. shouldn't they have already been found a long time ago?

The answer to your question is really both yes and no. Currently it's not optimal to sieve in this region to get factors below the double check limit, these factors will never be tested again, but there are other reasons for having them.

...and to add a little more.

You're correct all these factors should have been found a long time ago, however some get missed due to to human and computer errors. Joe has been taking time out to re-sieve some of what he considers to be suspect areas.

Beacuse anything below 25T doesn't appear in the dauly updated results file, they all appeared yesterday, because that's when I updated my local low file.

... and to add yet a little more

There are more to come but they are far and few between. We are currently determining if the double check sieve effort is really worth it, ie number of factors found per unit time compared to the main effort.

We would ask that no one double checks, b/c you may actually be tripple or in somecased quadruple checking if they do.
