    which program

    which program do you use for sieving above 2^50.

    There are a couple programs to sieve above 2^50, sobsieve (i think) and nbegone...

    However these programs are ALOT slower than proth and factor density decrease with increasing p. There are really alot of good ranges below 2^50, left I'd strongly suggest you stay below 2^50, but to each his own.

    Why don't you just try to fill that entire gap that would be cool.

    The future for sieve my favorite topic...

    Well we are currently about a 9 months - a year away from 2^50 ( my estimates), from the limit of the current proth program...

    Hopefull before then we will have another faster program, or we can modify proth to work above 2^50.

    The other possibility is to sieve n>20 or recheck some of the low T values, until another program become avaliable. Regardless before then we have alot of work to go, and sieving IMHO is where to start.
