Updated Project Page - Need Help

I noticed the Project Page was a little out of date, so Bok said go ahead and make the changes and he'll upload it.

However, I am not framiliar enough with all of the projects to complete some of the table, so if anyone can contribute to this, let me know:

    http://dc.canyonlake.net/projects.php.htm

Once the final changes are in place, I'll ask Bok or IB to upload it.

I think I got all of the teams, but I may have missed some so just let me know if I need to add any.

Thanks. Does SoB still also have optimizations for Athlons? Or should I remove that?

Personally, I'd remove it. A XEON really rocks, a P4 does very well, and an AMD doesn't do very well on that project at all. You'd be MUCH better off using it on OGR or RC5..

Take a look at that, might help ...

We also have teams in World Community Grid and UD. Both only run Windows only and fail to give proper advantage to fast CPUs. These projects give better value to slower processor. The projects are stable though.

I'm glad to see someone updating this! We've had some others take a stab at updating it, but it never quite gets done.

    Thanks, PS2pcGAMER!

    Thanks both of you.

I've updated it again. I wasn't able to find forums for Euler, RSAttack and World Community Grid. Climate Prediction has two forums, one on the main page and one under BOINC. I think that about covers it short of me downloading every program and seeing how it is set up, so if anyone else has any other additions/changes, let me know. Otherwise I'll ask IB to update the page.

NP Dyyryath, I just want to give a little something back to Free-DC.

The forum for Word Community Grid is at:

BOK could also add this project to the stats page as well. It's a small team (a very small team), but a team no less.

Well, the projects page update is looking good so far. I've made it live on the Free-DC site as of now. If you make more changes, make sure you let Bok or I know so we can update the site with the new page.

    Thanks, good work!

    Bok,

The WCG stats are found at:

    http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/stat/global.html

I'am not sure if this is what you want or need a text file of some kind.

    Ask and you shall receive....

    http://stats.free-dc.org/new/projpage.php?proj=wcg

I should probably reconvert the total cputime (I convert and store it as seconds) to a better display... later.

I'll do another seperate thread as well.

I noticed on your list of projects that RSAttack576 is still listed. This project has been completed and should be removed. You could also add Project Dolphin (www.project-dolphin.nl) if you would like. It's like the Tiny KeyCounter program and there is a team for Free-DC.

    Thanks Jeff, I'll add those.

    @Dyyryath
When you pulled the code from my host, it messed up on the forum URL's. Tomorrow I'll e-mail you the correct source with Jeff's additions.

    Find-a-Drug optimization

I don't think it can technically be referred to as an optimization, since I'm pretty sure the code is treated exactly the same, but Find-a-Drug prefers Athlons to a large degree.

Allow me to clarify(I think what I posted may be confusing): The coding is the same, but since Athlons have a superior Floating Point Unit, they do much, MUCH better.

    Now I feel better.

Maybe "Optimizations" should be changed to something more clear like "Preference" or "Favors". At the bottom it would clarify it further with something like "This project gives a points advantage to certain computer setups that are listed". Then it could include things like architecture, hyperthreading and OS.

Does that make sense? Or is there a better way to word this?
