Yep... I'm heading up a crack team of XS l33t fridge stormers (with bolt cutters) to rob the fridge! PY222 very funny about rowdy preople and the fridge. And we ain't really trying to poach anyone. I only want the beers! T minus 1 day!

I wish I had acccess to the machines at university which are idle most of the day or do simple office stuff (I know at least 60 boxen with 3Ghz P4s)..

Unfortunatly a friend of mine isn't allowed to use office machines anymore (some may remember schluppy from the DF days)

So I have no tricks in the bag...maybe someone else

I have had free Elec for this whole year, but not enough space or cooling for any rigs.

I hear ya there. I had to cut back from 25 rigs down to 9. Been creeping over the last few months, though. Back up to 14. I can't go much further.

... well, maybe just the one rig under construction. Waiting on a mobo.

Power bills are the great limiter. The bills were getting obscene. All single core boxes, back then. Much more efficient production now.

I had 24 diskless XP2400 and Durons running at one point. Power bill was insane, Waiting to see next months lectric bill with all the HOT weather we have been having, 109F today AC working pretty hard. I want to add a couple of more dual cores.

Thank god conroe is almost here. 4 E6300's, 4 E6600's and 1 E6700 should lower my power bill. I'm trying to sell off these A64s and Opterons.. having no luck dumping the ram either. sigh

Ya its pretty much like the Mercenaries. I don't know how many individuals are involved, on our forums though some of the guys have the team members in their sigs though.

yeah, everyone forgets what Free-DC is about. We strive to make DC more available by putting out the word about projects, hostings forums for projects, stats etc.. Hell, I think I was the one who helped get Rosetta going at XtremeSystems, XtremePC and a few others when they first started by pushing it somewhat..

We'll put up a fight, but the science comes first...excellent work XtremeSystems!
