Wow, some amazing output been going on here while I have been away
I did leave 40 WU's crunching on the offline Xeon's before I left which I will try and collect later, going to pale into insignificance in light of PY's slightly increased output!
if they are all done that will be something like a 60T

So we can expect a bit of a dump then meep
Fozzie,
I thought you said Oct 25th was going to be tough for the overtake.... at this rate September 25th is looking possible
I'm so amazed by it all I check almost every hour!!!
Look forward to the Meep!!
Bok
until everyone put the hammer down.
We still don't know how many boxen are working offline either.
It'd be great to have the Cows in this project.
It looks like we can have COW meat on the table for ThanksgivingOriginally Posted by Fozzie

Our 28 day total monstering towards 1.5P
The Cows look likely to try and hold us off but we should hit 2nd before Christmas, maybe if we go for it for the Christmas
Are we up for it.
Just grabbed another 24/7 2.8GHZ P4 to help us along.
Foz,
are you taunting them again...
Massive output again today so far, could we top 100T??? Looks like it may be close.. Condor is doing some awesome offline crunching it seems
I like the 7day total too..547.903T!!! Seems just a few days ago when we hit 7P and now I'm looking at 8.. oh wait it was only a few days ago
Bok
Great going Team.
Lets get some PrimeRib.
Yes Fozzie is and taunting them again...
Pavla =said
GOD NO! It's fozzie again! Guess what; it's time for some FDC taunting.
'Cause the cows will not let them run over.
PS. We need to teach Fozzie about Cow tipping
You sneak up on a cow when there a sleep and topple them over
If you yell hey Free-DC is coming all the cows will run away
No from me, Java error on the SBQueue server... lovely!
Also service has been uninstalled and deleted on some of the servers which means its presence was not appreciated. Going to have to find out you/when/why and then maybe reset it all back up. But that may not happen
Over to everyone else on this one im afraid.
that sucks mate.
after the fun of cuboids, thought i would give this a quick run.
On may dual xeon @3.8GHZ, will run four complete WU.
Looks like about a week.
looks like 9.75 million things/sec.
Welcome to the party Helix.
I stopped DNET OGRp2 for awhile to help out here. Hopefully this time if my computer needs restarted they won't drop the current WU and get a new one.
So yeah, another Dual Xeon on the SoB game for a little while at least. I figure I can shift focus for a little while maefly decimates OGR.
Looks like a total of around 5 million cEM/s betwixt them all.
Hope ya'll will start seeing results soon.
-Jeff
[edit] wow, SoB makes my case run 3 degrees hotter and my procs to run 2 degrees hotter each. Celcius that is. Instead of the 50 50 55 i get with DNET I get 52 52 58. Hope that's not gonna hurt anything. I know it's hot already.

'em if you got 'em.
Looks like we made up for the previous days lack lustre performance.

Our rate is now up to 1.757P per 4 weeks.
Team Retro will fall in 23 days, Anandtech not much later, even tough they are moving a bit quicker
The look vulnerable to be roasted by bonfire night.
2nd place will be ours all too soon
Fozzie,
nice ramp up.... ?
Or did your Quad Core come in early
Bok
Dunno where that came from.
Got one wu finishing offline tomorrow, fingers crossed and three due for Monday.
Have another P4 at work, so hopefully will have on average 1T+ a day.
As long as noone asks too much about why I'm heating the whole area with all these PCs on 24/7
It's day today
Should everyone between me and the top 500.
I've been smushed by you 2 or 3 times now already... will you please just make this one stick... my head is starting to hurt.

Nothing left to borg now, even running the poor old lappie to death.
congrats to all crunchers old and new
30 days to get 2nd place in SoB.
Let's see if we can do it for Bok's tot's birthday.
Let's go some
If have swung everything back onto SoB.
I'll be dumping a full test in the next two days or so. I'll probably then help out over at DPAD again for a while, or I might take a look at Rosetta.
Thanks Foz!.
My daughter will be 1 on the 25th October, she gets baptized on the 22nd. I'll be happy with 3rd place, 2nd would be a big bonus!!!
Bok
It's great when the wus finish.
Folks
We seem to have lost quite a bit of momentum over the last month.
We started the month at 1000 cems/sec and are down to a bit over 700 now.
Still enough to get the job done, it's just gonna take longer.
Lets see if we cant find that 30% that's gone AWOL over the last 30 days and shorten the time frames.
OK, I'll do another test. Should take about 7-8 days part time and that's all I'm bringing for now.
Alrighty ladies and gents! I'm back now from moving into my new house. Got everything unpacked and finally got time to fire back up this Dual Xeon rig. Expect to see my stats start pumping out higher once this thing gets some time to crunch some blocks!

I dont know myself. Maybe playing with Server* in the sclient.conf file works? Here's what it says:
# The address of the SB server to connect to. You shouldn't
# need to change this unless you're doing something incredibly
# unauthorized with our client! (Or if you're using a proxy.)
#
# Currently a ServerAddress of sbp.pns.net along with either
# ServerPort 80 or ServerPort 22 will allow you to go around
# most packet filtering firewalls. Try these if you experience
# difficulty connecting.
ServerAddress sb.pns.net
ServerPort 1717
-----------
PS a reminder under linux to cd to your sb dir prior to running "./sb sclient.conf" so that it will locate the created "cache" and "znnnnnnnn" files upon subsequent startups and continue where it left off.

I got sbqueue running on my desktop through a ssh tunnel to my home web server which points forwards it to the sob servers. Now I just have to install it in our lab on a linux system to relay to my desktop. I take it sob isn't smp ready?
Not on linux no, you have to run two instances. On Windows if you install the service it is smp aware..
Bok
for running it!
