Too bad the Linux client is a little more of a pain for dual core. But I think I can script it. Now to just get time to install the new servers.
I'm having fun!!! I'm just not sure if it's net fun or gross fun.

    Guru,

what kind of rates are you getting?

I dont think you have joined the team yet either. You have to login on the Sob website to do this. The team field on the client does not do anyhing..

I'm moving to Phoenix, AZ. in a week, so I have to pull ~40GHz worth of pharmage offline for an indefinate period of time.
As the SOB work units finish up, I'm moving them over to DPAD until I'm ready to box them up (soon) so there is no loss of points for unfinished work at the end of 30 days.
I'm hoping to be offline no longer than 3 months, but that depends on the housing market and how long it takes me to sell my current residence and get into the next one.

I'm still waiting on my email with my password to login. My mail server has been rejecting the email because the IP address of their mail server doesn't resolve to teh seventeenorbust.com domain. I fixed it on my end so it should be very soon. Since guru was taken I decided to use my gaming alias "SpeedRaider" for this account. To check on my progress visit http://www.seventeenorbust.com/stats...l?userID=11877. So far I have my home 3.6G core 2 duo, my work 2.4G C2D, a 2.4G amd 64, and a 2.3G dual proc dual core xeon C2D. I started last night at around 8:30 so I haven't been crunching very long.
I'm having fun!!! I'm just not sure if it's net fun or gross fun.

    OK Anandtech will be roadkill

    tomorrow before close of business.

Then we have the real work to get after the Cows.

Now I know we were kind of looking at Oct 25th as a watershed to maybe have a look at other things, but the Cows have foiled our carefully managed scenario.

PCZ and IB will be reducing output due to real world factors. Some others will be turning to other projects.

I will keep my boxen on SoB until DPC are eating Free DC trail dust. Now I don't know how you guys are fixed for this. The Waht are your intentions poll seemed to suggest many were on board until we had some Cow steaks.

So let's aim for November 5th at best for a Guy Fawkes banquet.

It was always my intention just to pass TA by October 25th anyway. We should get DPC by November 5th I think..

Then make some effort on DPAD to get 1st there...though I'll keep my linux boxen on SoB.

Why on earth does one need to hunt a domesticated animal?

Now, cow-tipping on the other hand, now that's fun. (Not that I've ever tried it.)

  27. #107
You aren't supposed to actually be able to tip a cow from what I've heard from a few farmers. If you do in fact pull it off it's supposed to break 2 of their legs and basically you've just killed that animal because it's no longer of any use to the farmer.

    Going from experience with livestock

the chances of pushing a cow over are slim. A calf maybe but a grown cow you'd have to be incredibly strong and the cow would have to be on a slippery slope.

    Flat ground, no chance.

Looks like the cows are running for it. More power everyone, let's go get 'em.

If you sneak up on them...
seen it on TV once where two college frat boys did it.
Two of them ran at the cow together and knocked it over.

Well done everyone 11P barrier breached

The Cows are only 960T ahead of us and we are currently gaining at around 55 - 60T a day.

So another 19 days if things stay as they are, which I doubt they will.

We are losing power here and gaining some there, so who knows how it will all pan out.

Only 18 days to November the 5th so the Cows continue to foil our expectations although the end result will be the same.

    Resistance is futile.

Primary System back online and it's got a boost HvS I think the upgrade from XP2000+ to XP2600+ might be easier :P - windows 98se is so forgiving...

    Only 7.5 days until barbecue!

We are about 5.5 days from Halloween. I wish there was just a little more firepower out there and we could have a Halloween Bonfire with Cow on the menu!!!
    Distributed Hold'em

  36. #116
our stats builder says about 10 days well now we'll see who are better in maths, the cows or the dc'ers

  37. #117
Well seeing how I've never seen Bok's stats really be too far off...

There'd just have to be another giant for the cows to make it closer to 10 days.

At the current pace I'd pin it around 8 days to go but a few members still may have offline nodes (like Fozzie) that he can bring a good dump over for us to make it shorter.

Who knows but we'll just keep along.

    We've just cruised through

    the 12P barrier

280T gap to the and gaining at 40T a day.

Looks like November the 5th will be spot on.

Let's make sure it goes with a bang.
