    new statstool testing..

Can some people give the new Statstool a whirl and see if everything is holding up?

It won't affect anything on your current stats or your signature at all..

One main defect is that there is no notification that update worked as it's done via an AJAX call. I'll add in some form of feedback soon.

    Check out the color picker

I'm a noob here, and I don't know if I'm doing things correctly. I put my usrname in for all my projects. I selected my team name. After I hit update, the screen flashed ... it seemd to work, but my stats for all the projects are still at zero. My account was just activated. Do I need to wait a day or 2 for everything to catch up? Very puzzling.

Actually, I could use a few tests where a new user signs up

Rabrittain already demonstrated one error which I think I've fixed now...

I don't get no color slides when i try them in Firefox - I can't test this in IE as it says I'm not logged in even if I do go login there and try again it still says the same. Also no image shows for anything.

Color slides don't work at all, not sure why.

    Which images do you mean?

Not sure I understand what you mean by not having any stats ?

Statstool is just for entering the id's (and customizing the stats).

Once entered you would go to here

    (though with your own name...)

The menu is what Dyyryath is supposed to be doing, I just threw in the links for now without any formatting. It's been weeks now though so I'm just about giving up and will do something with them myself this week

Oh I forgot. Old tool put a check mark automatic. I had to click to get check.

OOPs. Not enough lines. Stopped at the letter P.

This is heading entered: KAMCOBILL's Stats (Team: X Grubbers Kick Ass).

Colors have been chosen but didn't change.

    woah,

you found the signature I only just started working on that, so lots still to do. I was messing about with true type fonts and such..

    Bok

  19. #19
Yep. I was testing the stats tool and checked out the signature too. Did I go to far?

I checked out KAMCOBILL and X Grubbers Kick Ass

I noticed some of the stats are off (e.g. Eon no score). And the Wieferich @ Home isn't in statstool.

All is looking good overall. Won't be long.

What else do you want to check out? We have a new team member that can sign up. Do you want a new signup?

I don't mind what you try, good job finding the signature !

the link for usermain should work fine, the team one you linked to is actually a team page for an individual project.

I haven't quite worked out in my head how to handle the equivalent of the usermain page for teams actually - it might go live without it for now..

Good spot on Wieferich not being in statstool. It's all fairly automatic now, so should be in automatically when I add a new project (which I can do from within the stats themselves with a single update ) but I didn't have the flag set to include it in statstool automatically - done that...

Sure, have a new user try it out and give me the feedback. One thing to note is that it doesn't appear to have done anything, so you need to refresh the page. I'll put something on that this afternoon..

Eon, yeah, when I did the initial conversion of data I only had a 30char field so it truncated the last 2 bytes off, just add them onto your id and it'll be fine.

Though, I'll be reconverting all of the data from the old box again anyway.

Thanks for testing, feel free to look around and make suggestions/comments on anything and everything

    Bok

    Thank bok,

New user will be added tonight. I'll have to help out on that.

I couldn't find a team main. It came up: Placeholder for Teammain page.

Thanks and keep up the good work

no idea, as far as I can tell, the email went out, what happened to it after it left the server I can't tell..

I've registered the user manually though...

    Thanks bok,

I wondered how we got in there. Stats added OK. Don't have ID on the rest of Projects.

    bok,

I have a question. If BOINC CPID is added to statstool will it add projects automatically?

You know, I was thinking about that exact thing yesterday. I'll be adding a function to do just that. Got it mostly written last night, but need to test it first..

    Bok,

I'll add CPID to cookie43913 and mine.

The only problem with mine is I have 4 CPIDs right now. November 2006 it started to happen. I've has as many as 10. For the last 2 months it's been at 4. My main CPID ranges from 200K to 500K credits. I have over 600K. Will that be a problem with Stats? I know it a problem at all stat sites I've been to.

    Thanks

It won't be an issue on the usermain page, as that goes off whatever id's you've entered on statstool, but the userbycpid page will be off.

You can fix it, by making sure your email address and password are identical on all projects AND (I think) returning one wu to each one you change..

    Bok

I have been working on these CPIDs problems for over a year. All User Names, Passwords, and Email Addresses are the same. Also, all host are attached to all projects. The problem is that my nodes/hosts have different CPIDs (how they got them I don't know). Each time a host connects to the server it changes the CPID at that projects to whatever one it has. This creates a real problem with 14 connecting. It's seesawing the COIDs back and forth. Also, the hosts have multiple CPIDs. I have been trying to get the BOINC teams to do something but so far nothing.

The only way I can see that it would be possible to correct this problem on my end, without a CPID Sync for the hosts, is to find which host has the main CPID at the project, update it and detach all other hosts. Go through all 70+ projects and do the the same. After all have the same CPID, uninstall all 14 BOINC Managers, delete BOINC Directory and cleanup all BOINC installs. Then install all over again and attach 1 node at a time.

Since I'm sure it is a software problem, that will take care of all the reachable projects. The Unreachable and Archived Projects will stay with what they have.

The only problem is how much time would I have to spend to do it and how would that help find out what it happening with the software. BOINCStats Forum has many users posting about the CPID Problem.

All I know is that your stats are correct and anyone using UserIDs are too. Any Stat Site using CPIDs are wrong. At least with me for the last 15 months.

yeah, I know the problem only too well. In fact it's illustrated here

When you look at both Chimichango and Nebula, whose cpid's appear to change nightly..

    Bok,

my folding@home stats aren't working right on either old or new stats. I enter LiuqynAMD+Users but it links to LiuqynAMD%2BUsers and shows nothing.

Not sure if this has been brought up before yet, too lazy to search, but daily totals for ralph@home are messed up on new pages. and a few others have un-needed decimals places, including simap and vtu@home. maybe others.
