Bok something strange has happened to the BOINC Combined Users stats today. The first 18 people all scored 1 Billion points (well nine hundred and ninety eight thousand million or so in English or a Trillion points in US nomenclature)!

Edit: It appears to be Seti Beta that is the cause of the aberration.

I saw that too. Something very odd.

At http://stats.free-dc.org/stats.php?page=proj&proj=wie I've only been able to get "Page Cached 0 days,0 hours & 48 mins ago.." for over 3 days.

I have tried Firefox and IE8.

hmm, that's a little bizarre. I see the zero length cached page, but am unsure how it was created. I cleared it manually and it's loaded correctly now.

I need to spend a bit more time on this, perhaps add in a sanity check on the length of the cached file prior to writing it.

Let me know if it happens again

This happens all the time, usually in the evenings here so I guess that's early hours of the morning your timezone.

Previously I recall something about its "normal" for it to occur for up to an hour.

ah, I see the problem. Should be fixed. Looks like only for this particular page. It shouldn't happen I don't think, but in this case I'd left the code in that script to write the cached page AND done an include which means the it's duplicated. It wrote it out correctly, then overwrote it with a blank file..

Let me know if you see it again...
