I'll put a little on it on Monday and in about 18 days, when I've reach 1 Mil on Docking, I'll shift priorities.
The CASP9 challenge at Rosette@Home is now underway, they are trying to do blind predictions, competing against many other teams. The competition actually started in May and runs through the summer. If you can spare any more CPU time for this project, it will really help the project.
Also interesting that they will be hooking up their Rosetta Server that scientists from around the world use for real research projects to BOINC so by helping with this project you are not only helping Rosetta improve their prediction algorithms but also helping with real scientific research projects that are ongoing. More details for CASP9 and this here: http://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/fo...ad.php?id=5308
Also some good news about work they are doing with the influenza virus. They found a protein that tightly binds to influenza and think it might block the virus from infecting cells. They are starting testing of this now. It seems Rosetta@Home has been doing great at working on real scientific problems and showing actual results. I didn't realise CASP had started already. I'll finish up some other work and then switch.
I put one rig on it today and will add more as I can.

Nice, thanks guys. I have been helping with CASP for years now, that sure does bring back memories to the Distributed Folding project too.
My Rig is back on it after I fixed it

I need a new laptop, but who needs a laptop when you have a phone...
Now to remember my old computer specs..
I wonder if we can tempt lauren into doing this one too?

Oddly, the only work units I'm getting with any mention of CASP in the name are "casp8". That seems strange, but I suppose they know what they are doing. I hope we're not reprocessing last year's data (unless that is the intention!).

When will Rosetta stop handing out CASP related work units? End of July?
