Thanks for the quick fix on the "Hosts" problem. It really helps when we can see what the individual units are producing.

Have a question: I was just checking on my progress in Docking and the numbers were a bit strange. It's likely just a quirk in the updating process - Docking's server has been up and down like a wild yo-yo the last couple of weeks. Anyway, I looked at the Update times in the upper right corner and found the following:

    Docking@Home - Free-DC Overview
    Last Checked : Fri Nov 26, 14:38:29 2010 EST
    Data Updated : Fri Nov 26, 11:42:37 2010 EST
    Current Time : Fri Nov 26, 13:07:11 2010 EST

According to my system clock, it was around 13:10 when I made the check. Plenty of slop in clocks to account for the difference on Current Time. However, I got to wondering about the "Last Checked" time. Does the server actually reach ahead an hour and a half to get the upcoming stats? If so, I'd like to suggest a stock market application for that piece of code. You could have a real winner here!

We think there is a bug in the timezone code somewhere. The dates held in the database are based on EST time as that is where the box is, but when it shows it it attempts to convert it to a localtime but it's going wrong. Might just revert this to using UTC at somepoint perhaps. It's gopher's baby though so I'll lte him take a look first. (perhaps we had some hacks in the tz code that didn't come over from the old box? )

Pooh! I thought you were onto something really good in the Predictive Computing area! Oh, well. If it's just a TZ error, then it's a small one. If you do decide to get into PC, let me know!

Hmm okay I'll have a look at it. I did do a few code changes back and forth to get it work, I guess it broke...

AH found the problem - had to set the TZ to a custom one since it just wouldn't behave since AZ doesn't do DST but the server kept thinking it did.. fixed line removed and tested working - porting to live or I will as soon as it allows me to

Yeah something we overlooked when the move happened - totally forgot the line was in there, although I should have remembered the amount of code / recode I did when the DST / BST kicked in / out..
I'm working on getting the "radar" to be a bit more well flexible, and then have it hide / reveal as requested.

Yes well writing it and then making it work were two different things, condensing what was basically 4 separate calls to the database into one function so that the function gets the right data and then checks the data to see if it should be "included" i.e there is a threat / opportunity there wasn't easy and making sure it was passed all the right information in order to do that was harder.. it's a function and not part of the normal flow of data so variables and lots of them need to be passed to make it work..
if anyone wants to have a look at it, I'll try and port it to the "live" stats rather than the "dev test" pages which means a little clean up here and there

All the WCG stats I've looked at today have been showing as negative. Presumably this is something their end but just thought I'd mention it here on the off chance that it isn't.

Weird, everything I saw negative earlier is now showing positive. IIRC they are the exact same numbers but with the sign switched.

I first saw my own contribution for the day was negative, then saw that every active member on our team had the same treatment. I also checked another team and saw the same.

I can see the data updated recently, could it have been a blip their end which was quickly rectified? Not that it really matters, I'm just trying to prove that I wasn't imagining things or going crazy.

It could well be. Looking at the logs I'm showing that I detected a timestamp change from their xml stats 8 times in the past 12 hours which is very unusual.

They'll update soon. There was a problem connecting to the site at some point, so the script backs off gradually.. I've reset that as it looks like the connection is ok for now

Bok, when I click on Combined Users my Steve* User name shows up, but then when I click on my Steve* User Name the User Name PoorBoy shows up. Same thing when I click on the Sicituradastra. Team, my Steve* User Name shows up but then when I click on that PoorBoy shows up again.

I didn't realize it until AZMoon asked me about it & I had no idea why that was happening ... Also can you or somebody else change my User Name here to Steve* since I can't do that in my User Account ... Thanks, Steve*

ugh, yeah, I see the bug. Was getting the correct name but overriding from one of the individual (old) project records which is still on the old name. Should be fixed, give it 30mins for the cache to expire.

Altered your name in the forum too.

Hmm, what page are you looking at?
    This One: http://stats.free-dc.org/stats.php?p...54e7a84c151aa4 ?

If so I see what you mean they are listed just not in "recent" odd - i'll look at that.

One thing I have noticed in RNA and others at a certain time the the
Project Main is showing the Data from a day Past as today
But the user's and Teams have the right data for today

The time I see this is about 23:30 CST

You are hitting the cache, which may have been created at a slightly different time so expires later on different pages. No more than 15 mins though. I did used to have a fairly complicated mechanism for expiring the cache after certain events but it did not work too efficiently across machines so it's disabled right now.

I'm not sure that is it because the project main page and the user's page read the same up until 9:00 to 11:30
Then the main page displays the amounts from yesterday while the user and teams show the correct amounts for that day
I even cleared my cache and rebooted still the same

Th 'project overview' part with the times is not part of the page cache... Only the body is cached.

Erm, uh, love you guys to death for all the work you do, however... hosts are not displaying on the individual stats pages ... again. Whatever it was before, that you fixed so quickly, seems to be easy to break. Just sayin'.

Bad XML Import - maybe need to run a pre-parse on the files? e-mail one or 2 or links to get them I'll have a look see if I can't work out a quick and clean verify parser.

Nope, nothing to do with the parser at all. The tables on the calc side never crash it's only when copying them over using my own replication scripts (which are raw copy) where it sometimes fails and I have to use a repair table xxxxxx use_frm to recover it. Still running now on the host table and it's holding up the copy over on the current run

    Hi rilian.
Yes. Your observation is correct. It has been this way from the beginning.
Unfortunately it will remain this way until the project release their stats files.

If you wish to contribute your interest directly to the project please add a post here:
    http://mopac.cadaster.eu/forum_thread.php?id=3

although, I believe that at present they are very much focussed on improving the client so that it works more effectively, and thus they will likely get to the stats once that nut has been cracked and the project is up to speed.
