In the coming weeks I will be closing this forum down. While I think their is some good content here that shouldn't be lost I will not be deleting the forums. Instead I intend to just lock them off and archive them for everyone to still be able to view them.
If you need free-dc assistance or want to report any problems (there are a lot right now, I know) then you need to use Discord. The discord link on the forums is the Chat button at the top, but if you go to one of the stats pages then it's called Discord. This is the only thing I have time to check regularly. Which is one of the reasons for closing the forums. Other than the fact that they are hardly ever used. Which brings me to the next reason. The forums are old and outdated. This means no more security updates. Upgrading the forums to a new version not only will take me time to get it done, but it will also cost money. Since the forums aren't ever used spending money on it seems like a waste when those funds can go towards more important things.

For what? So I'd have another discord server and service I need to maintain and pay attention to? No thanks.
The Free-DC and BOINCGames discord will utilize the TAAT discord so there is one central location for me to maintain. This will be true for the other services I am working on. They will all use the TeAm Anandtech Discord server.
