I am using 1.5 too (w/ 256MB) so that makes sense. Your processor has nothing to do with the bounds it picks. If you use identical factor limit, factor value, and mem on two completely different machines but on the same numbers, it should pick the same bounds since the bound guesser doesn't actually look at what your processor is (only the internal multiplications routines look at that.)
