For anyone just using one box...

Could anyone just using one box to fold please post its details, and what your position is in the official stats at the distributedfolding.org site.

Was just wondering how i compare to others

I'm running mine semi 24/7 (i.e sometimes it runs 24/7 sometimes it's off)

    I'm running a P4 2.53Ghz with 512MB RAM and am currently at position 536

i used to run just a p4 1.6 (willamette-slow) and stayed around position 670 for the longest time. as other peoples equipment became newer i started sliding into the 700s. so you sound like you are in the right place.

I'm also running a P4 2.53 (@2.7 or so) with 512M on Linux (SuSE 8.2) and I'm in 336th position. It's my only box and it runs 24/7 but I use it for everything else as well - apache, mysql, etc. Admittedly it's not a heavy load.

    I hope this helps.

Running in Quiet Mode with Extra Ram

Screensaver enabled - but a plain black screen (so shouldn't use any processor)

Powere saving (Monitor Turns off after 30 mins - does this use any processing power?).

    Keep the disk fragmented

Use Wallpaper - How does this affect things?
