Richard,
Been where you are a few times. Know the feeling
Enjoy your life and if you decide to dabble again...please come right back home.
Well folks after 4 1/2 years and a few different DC projects I have decided it's time to call it a day in the world of DC and concentrate on other things.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the Free-DC Administrators who work hard to give us lost soles somewhere to call home and to the members, without them the place would not be the same.
All that is left to say is, I wish you all a good future and I hope that your clients remain free of crashes.
Richard,
Been where you are a few times. Know the feeling
Enjoy your life and if you decide to dabble again...please come right back home.
Agent Smith was right!: "I hate this place. This zoo. This prison. This reality, whatever you want to call it, I can't stand it any longer. It's the smell! If there is such a thing. I feel saturated by it. I can taste your stink and every time I do, I fear that I've somehow been infected by it."
Richard,
Sorry to hear that but know that there are times when we need to get away, whether it be permanently, or temporary.
Please continue to stop by and visit. We always love hearing from you.
later dude, have fun
Use the right tool for the right job!
Yeah, change is good! It's been real. Find something fun & have a ball!

DC...
She's a crual mistress....
Forsake her siren song and be free
I understand the feeling.
After nearly three years crunching SETI work units, I needed to take a break. After nearly six months idle, I knew I needed to be involved in something usefull and came upon Distributed Folding and soon thereafter Free-DC. It's fun again and as long as the machines hold on, I'll probably be here.
See you around Richard!
I've done this a time or two. Enjoy the time away. If and when you feel like crunching again, you'll be more than welcome back home.

Have a haggis on me matey.
Cheers for the messages.
This is going to be like giving up smoking. You think you have it cracked, but months or years (in some cases minutes or hours) down the line that urge for one comes along.
Of course if I ever get that urge there is only one place I would go for my fix
.
I will still be about, inhaling some passive DC
Of course I will be on IRC. Too many good friends there to let go because I am no longer crunching.
enjoy your retirement
