Did you find out, Beyond?
Looks like you need the team password in order to contribute, similar to GIMPS.
Team details ..please. how to join the team?

I have yet to find anyone willing to share , without referencing the stats, I believe DP and supp to be the only contributors at this point.

I noticed the stats say that there are currently 4 active users in the Free-DC team. If when the stats next update that number increases to 5, I guess I configured the client correctly Actually, I haven't submitted any work yet, but will do shortly.
(The stats also mention when work was last submitted by a member of the team, so I could also use that).
Not sure yet. I think so, but can't tell until the stats update. It looks like they haven't updated since the 8th...
From their FAQ - apparently when you install it, there are options to fill in.
3) How can I join EulerNet ?
Go to the menu Test/User Information.
Enter your name/email/team name/password (everything is optional here).
Then click on the type of connection you have.
If you have a modem, click on Dial-up connection, and if you have a permanent access, choose Network connection.
Then click OK.
Now, go to the menu Test/Enter EulerNet, and choose the type of work (currently, only 6th power is available).
Enter the amount of work you'd like. If you have a permanent access, let the default value.
If you have a dialup connection, and you are connected every day, I recommend you the value 16.
If you are connected less regularly, you'll better reserve 64 ranges or more.
BEWARE ! There is a small bug in version 4.21b, which allows you to assign more than 100 ranges !
The server CANNOT assign more than 100 workunits to every user.
That's all I did, except I wasn't sure if the 'password' field was for the team or your username.
The stats still haven't updated since the 8th so I don't even know if my work is going to the right place
The password is needed to join the team!Originally posted by alpha

Someone should tell us the damn password then
Have you PM'd DP or Supp?
So I think we can assume my suspicions were correct. The password field is probably for locking down your username.> I noticed the stats have not been updated since 8th November. Is
> something wrong?
No, I update it from time to time, and have problems to access my site from
my home, even though Free.fr is my provider. I tried several FTP clients,
but still I cannot connect to the FTP server :-(((

You don't need team password, just put the team name and they'll get all
your credits (of course, you won't lose your personal credit).
If you change of team, you just have to change its name.

I have confirmed that the work I submitted went to Free-DC so I'll get cracking on this now. Unfortunately it's Windows only, so I've only got an XP 2200@2GHz on it temporarily.

That is good news, will be jumping in in short order.Originally posted by alpha

I think I've found a way to cheat your way up the stats. I've emailed the project manager, hopefully he will make an 'adjustment' shortly
The stats have been updated (at last! ) and we have shot up the stats. We have gone from 83rd up to 68th.
The project admin seemed to be aware of the potential 'cheating' I discovered, and doesn't seem particularly keen to get it resolved.
Edit: This should have a positive effect on our DC Repository ranking
Anybody still doing euler 2000 ?
I noticed that our friends over at US d are starting to show an interest in this one.
I've never even tried it but I'll take a look.

I'm gonna give this a shot a bit and see how it goes.
