As a lot of you noticed before you were unable to get into Astropulse to download the client and participate, because they limit the amount of beta testers in the projects development. Right now they are accepting more users and I urge all that are insterested or just want to reserve their spot for later use, to do so now:version 2.11 of the BOINC Beta Test (formerly known as Astropulse) client is available as of yesterday. Also, the project should be expanding its beta test to a much larger group of users in the next week or two. If you would like to participate, check the website daily to see if you can create an account.

Also for those curious, a WU takes 12.5 hours to complete on my XP 1800+ That's according to the benchmarch. Looks more like it'll take 11.5 to 12 hours. The bionic client is rather nice. I can see how it may some day be used in all DC projects.

Picked from the Ars Forum - seems important...

Damn, the graphics are cool. I don't even want to know how much CPU time it wastes watching those, though
