Well it looks like the ECC2 challenge is finally over. A probably solution has been found and verified by Chris Monico but now it has to be officially confirmed by Certicom:

For those of you not familiar, MD5CRK is quite similar to ECC2-109 in that both are looking for a collision and using Pollard's Rho cycle detecting algorithm.
The MD5CRK client will also probably run faster on your hardware. Don't forget to join the Free-DC team once you setup your client!
The project operators got the confirmation from Certicom, the server is shut down - the project is definitly done. Congrats to everyone.
