    memory question

    what is the real world difference between memory rated 2.5-3-3 and 2-3-3
    I will not be overclocking
    grandmother. ver 3.0

    i'm not too sure about real world performance but if you use SiSoft Sandra then you'll see a decent jump between cas 2 and cas3. I'm not sure about cas2.5. I think the difference in numbers gives you a slightly higher memory bandwidth.

    Real world? Not much. It won't open Word faster (nothing can do that), but it will run Seti faster.

    The numbers refer to memory latency. It's really a speed rating. Lower numbers are always faster.
